Left NYC about a week ago for a grand trip of shows and trips. I spent 5 days in San Francisco seeing family, friends, and getting in some great work outs. I’ve been doing a fitness routine called primitive movement with my buddy Brandon Sewall in NYC. It’s basically training your body to be usefully fit for real life scenarios rather than just having big muscles from benching a bunch of weight. It’s a blast. Basically you just go outside and play! Well… play like a warrior gymnast.
I had a great climbing trip to “Lover’s Leap” in south Lake Tahoe with my cousin Dan. Fantastic climbing, although a little cold at first as it SNOWED the night before in September?!
I Boarded the Island Princess cruise ship in SF, made some great new friends, and played two awesome shows with my buddies Jonathan on drums and Terry and piano.
Left the ship in Cabo San Lucas Mexico and met my Dad who flew down from my home town of Colorado Springs.
Much boozing and tanning ensued… As you do in Mexico.
I entered and won the resort’s karaoke competition singing a rockin’ rendition of “Summer of 69”! I also won this funny pool game where I had to chug a beer, spin around 10 times and then tow a girl on a boogie board across the pool by hand with a rope! 44 seconds baby! Ah yeeeeaah!
Yesterday we went to lovers beach where I found some fantastic rock climbing right by the beach, swam in some beautiful coral reefs in the ocean, and cliff jumped from a 40 ft rock! Good times.
This morning dad and I went deep sea fishing where I caught two big 20 pound Dorado fish AND a 120 pound Marlin!! Talk about a bicep work out!
It’s been a pretty amazing trip so far. Three more days here, then I fly to Beijing China where I’ll perform shows on the Diamond Princess. I’ll be headed to several different Asian countries.
Keep on smiling and loving life my friends! More to come!
